Hosting a Red Kettle: When you put money in our kettle – Expect Change!

What is the Online Red Kettle and a virtual bellringer?

You can host your own Online Red Kettle and then send e-mails to others containing a link to your Red Kettle page. It’s fun, easy and for a great cause. You’ll be amazed as you watch your Online Red Kettle fill with donations that go to fund services and programs such as feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless and providing educational opportunities for children. As you help us raise much needed funds, you are helping us in “Doing the Most Good” by warming the hearts and souls of those in need at Christmas and year ‘round. The Salvation Army and the people we serve appreciate every gift given.

Setting up your own Online Red Kettle only takes a couple of minutes. You can ask others to fill your Online Red Kettle all from the comfort of your home or business.

It’s as Easy as 1 2 3!

  1. Go to www.SalvationArmyUSA.org and click on the Online Red Kettle.
  2. Register yourself, your group or your business. As the host, you can set a goal for your kettle and add a personal message.
  3. Now send out an e-mail to all your friends and family members and watch your kettle fill with donations that will help those in need in your community.

All gifts will be processed through secure servers. The Salvation Army does not share or sell donor information to anyone.

What types of Online Red Kettles are being offered?

Personal Kettles

Individuals can host their own Online Red Kettle by customizing their own Red Kettle Page and then inviting others via e-mail to fill their Kettle with secure online donations.

Group Kettles

Civic groups, church groups, and other organizations can host their own Group Kettle. A Group Kettle also allows members to host their own personal Kettle under the group name. All fundraising will be applied to both their personal goal and the group goal. Thus, achieving your personal goal helps your organization build to their goal.

Business Kettles

Any size or type of business can host their own online Business Kettle in a co-branded environment with The Salvation Army. The amount of money collected in their Kettle will be reflected on their Business Kettle Page, real time. A link to their
online Business Kettle will automatically be provided which then can be included on a business internet/intranet site and/or e-mail blasts to employees, vendors, customers, etc.

Where will Your Donation Go and Who will it Help?

Kettle contributions will assist The Salvation Army in your community in providing meaningful assistance to many needy families, children and shut-ins, at Christmas and year ‘round. The Red Kettle is a tradition that The Salvation Army has preserved for 126 years. Your donation helps make that possible.

All contributions are processed through The Salvation Army’s secure payment system. Our Online Red Kettle system will handle all thank you and gift acknowledgements electronically by sending notifications to each donor.
