Each and every day, The New Jersey Division of The Salvation Army helps those in need, offering food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, companionship to the forlorn and hope to those who have lost faith.
Throughout New Jersey, Salvation Army officers, employees, Salvationists and volunteers touch lives through selfless acts of service. Our mission and service behind the Red Shield will continue as long as people need a helping hand. We serve those less fortunate as a reflection of God's bright light that has always driven our movement.
How does one access these services?
The Salvation Army serves New Jersey statewide. Help is available through 28 Corps Community Centers, 138 Service Units (volunteers on call to provide emergency services on behalf of The Salvation Army), 3 Emergency Shelters, 4 Adult Rehabilitation Centers and a Residential Camp.
THE SALVATION ARMY of New Jersey has helped New Jersey residents since 1880 and helped more than a quarter million people last year throughout Sussex, Passaic, Bergen, Hudson, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Union, Essex, Morris, Somerset, Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth, Burlington, Ocean, Camden, Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, and Gloucester Counties. New Jersey services and programs include food for the hungry, companionship to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter for the homeless, opportunities for underprivileged children, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled and many more services for those in need.
